"And let us not grow weary in doing good,
for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart"
Galations 6:9
Dear Friends,
Greetings from Fiji! I (Norman) have been back on the ground here for about a month now, while Nancy remains in Canada with our family. This newsletter looks a little different from our last one, and we know it’s been a while since we sent out our last one. These past months have been among some of the most challenging we have faced, and yet we continue to see God’s hand at work, often in the waiting.

Knocking on Doors
Establishing a mission aviation base in a new country was never going to be simple, and the past season has reminded us of that! Progress has been slower than we hoped. Access to our airplane at the airport has been limited while we work through security clearance requirements, and our application to formalize MiracleAir as a recognized NGO in Fiji is still in process.
Our current flight permit is valid until August 8, and we are praying that it will be extended. We have asked for a meeting with the Ministry of Civil Aviation to discuss the extension and the airport access challenges, and a separate meeting with Fiji Airports to explore a long-term partnership, including, we pray, a place to one day build a hangar. These meetings could open the doors we have been praying for, and we would love for you to pray with us as they come together.
Our Family
Alongside the ministry challenges, our family has been walking through some health challenges that required both of us to leave Fiji for a time. Nancy is still in Canada supporting our family, and we feel the weight of being needed in two places at once. We ask you to hold our family up in prayer as you have always done in the past.
New SDA Church in Karawala, Nicaragua
A Bright Spot from Nicaragua
Amid the challenges, God gave us a wonderful reason to rejoice! Thanks to the generosity of our donors, we were able to purchase a Stihl chainsaw with a 30-inch blade for the Bible worker we continue to support on the Caribbean coast of Nicaragua. It will be used to cut lumber to build several churches, as well as small homes for Bible workers in that remote region. Pictured is a new church in Karawala, the members are very excited that they will soon have their very own church. We are so thankful for each of you who make it possible to keep supporting this work so the gospel can continue to go forward!
At a Crossroads
We will be honest with you: there have been moments recently when the obstacles felt overwhelming, and we have asked ourselves difficult questions about the road ahead. We find ourselves at a crossroads, seeking God's clear direction for MiracleAir and for our family. What we keep coming back to is the fact that this ministry has always been His, not ours. Every miracle that brought us first to Nicaragua and the South Pacific reminds us that He is able to open doors no one can shut, and to close doors in His wisdom as well. Whatever He shows us, we are committed to following where He leads, and we know we can always trust His plan for our lives.
We praise God for:
A safe return to Fiji and a month of renewed conversations with officials here.
The aircraft entrusted to us and the vision that remains for reaching Fiji's remote islands.
Each of you, for your prayers, encouragement, and faithful support in difficult times.
The funds provided to purchase a chainsaw for building churches and Bible-worker homes on the Caribbean coast of Nicaragua.
God's nearness to our family through every challenge.
Please pray for:
An extension of our flight permit before it expires on August 8.
Favorable meetings with the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Fiji Airports, and a resolution to the airport access challenges.
Our legal counsel and the completion of the NGO registration in Fiji.
Our family's health, and strength for Nancy as she supports our family in Canada.
Wisdom and clear direction from God for the future of this ministry.
We do not know exactly what the next months hold, but we know Who holds them. Thank you for standing with us, and may God richly bless each one of you as we work together in preparation for Jesus' soon return.
With love and gratitude,
Norman & Nancy Hansen
