Fear not, for I am with you;
Be not dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you,
Yes, I will help you,
I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’
Isaiah 41:10
Dear Friends,
Amazing News! We are back in Fiji, and in a turn of events that only God could orchestrate, we even have an airplane!
Who can say that God isn't in the business of Miracles!!! There have been so many miracles to get us to this point. What a blessing it was for us to be able to serve with PAMAS (Philippine Adventist Medical Aviation Service) and gain some valuable experience. After a short time in Canada and the US, we returned to Fiji just in time to meet this Cessna 182, an aircraft with an amazing mission story of its own.
This plane recently completed an incredible journey that began in California and spanned over 12,000 miles. Its most recent mission was a 3,000-mile flight through the Pacific with a media team, documenting critical mission needs in some of the world's most remote islands for a professional documentary that will be released in the coming months. The team traveled through Guam, Saipan, Chuuk, Pohnpei, Kosrae, the Marshall Islands, Kiribati, and Tuvalu before finally arriving here in Fiji. The Cessna 182 has been temporarily entrusted to MiracleAir! PAMAS is allowing us to use it to explore the Fijian islands and work towards establishing a permanent mission aviation base here.
The Next Steps & Hurdles
It hasn't all been clear skies. Before we can begin local flights, we need final approval from the Civil Aviation Authority of Fiji. Since the plane is US-registered, all maintenance must be signed off by an A&P or IA certified mechanic. Since there is none in Fiji we are praying for a licensed mechanic to join us for the next few months to help us fulfill this requirement. We have already talked to several good candidates and we know that God has a solution for this need.
An Exciting Opportunity to Double Your Impact!
The biggest challenge we face right now is financial. The costs of establishing ourselves here and maintaining a plane are significant. However, we are excited to announce that a generous donor has offered to match all new donations, dollar-for-dollar, up to $25,000 (we have already received nearly $4,000 which will become $8,000 with the match.)
This means your gift today will have twice the impact. Your support will help us meet our most urgent needs:
Monthly Support: Thirty (30+) new donors giving $100 a month would provide the stable foundation we need for fuel, insurance, and living expenses. Even just $20 a month makes a huge difference!
A Mission Truck: This is essential for any ministry involving an airplane—hauling fuel, supplies, and people. A reliable used Toyota Hilux costs about $25,000-$30,000.
We invite you to be part of this exciting new mission in Fiji! We know that God never asks us to do anything without promising to supply the need. Thank you for your faithfulness to Him as we share the love of Jesus in these remote islands!
We praise God for:
The incredible experience we gained serving with PAMAS in the Philippines.
Allowing us to return to Fiji at the perfect time to receive this aircraft for six months.
Our son Steven's safe travels with the media team through 9 island nations.
All our supporters and the generous donor who is matching new donations up to $25,000! ($21,000 remaining)
Please pray for:
The resources that will be needed to establish an airbase in Fiji.
Funds to operate the airplane
Funds to purchase a pickup truck.
Funds for living expenses.
A US licensed Aeroplane & Powerplant Aircraft Mechanic to join us for the next few months.
Safety as the rainy season begins here in Fiji and the weather becomes more unpredictable.
Wisdom as we work with government agencies to establish MiracleAir here in Fiji.
That our efforts will be a blessing to the people of Fiji and we can reflect His character completely.
May God continue to richly bless each one of you as we work together in preparation for Jesus' soon return.
